CARING FOR OUR COMMUNITY – 10 YEARS!
For a long time, people
across America have realized that many of their friends and neighbors
aren’t able to get health care, because they lacked insurance and the
ability to pay. The people from Shenandoah County worked together to solve
this problem – to bring hope and healing to their neighbors in need.
Thanks to hundreds of volunteers and
donors, Shenandoah County Free Clinic has helped thousands of county
residents since opening in June 2002. Eighty percent of the funding comes
from the community. It is truly neighbors helping neighbors!
Shenandoah County Free
Clinic has long received many requests for dental care – more than it could
handle with an all volunteer staff. Thus in 2008 it started a new nonprofit
enterprise, Shenandoah Dental Clinic, to serve children and adults.
Saving lives, saving
smiles, caring for our community!
Our annual gala for 2012 is
planned for Nov. 30th, when we will also celebrate our 10-year
anniversary! Plan to join us for commemorations and kudos!
Whenever a Free Clinic
opens, miracles occur.

Free Clinic in Roanoke, VA.
Shenandoah County Free Clinic continues
to grow and expand services. From 2007 to 2009, it expanded patient
services by 60 percent in the medical clinic and started a full-time dental
operation. Thus it purchased a larger building, which when fully renovated,
will enable it to serve twice as many people.
